Women, Infants and Children Program. Who qualifies for WIC services and how easy it is to apply, participate, and shop. So many working families are eligible for WIC and they don't even know it!
We'll have a few nutrition staff and breastfeeding peer counselors and will run through/discuss a presentation informing the community of how WIC works and how to apply.

Other than the basics of WIC, we'll also discuss our Farmers Market Event on July 15th in Leominster and on July 20th in Fitchburg. Every July WIC gives $20-$40 worth of Farmers Market checks to our WIC participants.  We create a family-fun event around that with face-painting and raffles, etc.  These events will be located at the Farmers Markets! 

We also celebrate World Breastfeeding Week at this event each year with Certified Lactation Consultants, Nutritionists and Peer Counselors on hand to talk to breastfeeding families.
